Dear Official,
It is time to start playing soccer again. I will be assigning officials for FC Southland again. We have a number of new competitive teams and that will give more opportunity for you to officiate. Please fill out the attachment and give it to me at the soccer meeting or email it back to me in an attachment if you can. I will print it off and have your filled dates with me.
I am excited to be starting a new season. I thought we improved last season and we are looking forward to even better things this season. We have to continue to improve as officials. Please get on line and review the rules for each level. I believe the rules are up to date on our web site. Please check it out.
If we have unfavorable weather like we did in the Spring I will need officials that can ref during the week. Please fill out that part of the sheet also. I have given more options for emails and cell phones. There may be the need to text on short notice, so please feel free to give me that option if you would like.
We will have our Referee meeting this coming Sunday August 22 at the High Blue Wellness Center in Belton from 2:30 till 4:00 pm. We will be going over mechanics I would like us to use, field coverage, coaches and other miscellaneous things, so please plan on being there. I will be giving officials in attendance my first priority when scheduling our games.
It is important you be there. If you have a question please ask.
It is very important that you get into a habit of checking your email often. I may assign you a game by accident when you are unavailable or you may overlook a game assignment and I have to reassign it because I did not hear back from you in a timely manner.
Please feel free to pass this info along to other officials that you know. I think I have everyone on the list, but occasionally someone is missed, so please pass along the information.
