About FC Southland

Orignially called Grandview Belton Soccer Club (GBSC), the new name has been chosen to represent soccer for all players in the Kansas City Southland. We currrently have kids from Grandview, Raymore, Belton, Cleveland, South Kansas City, Raytown and many other locales.

The Club has been around for well over 20 years and we are still going strong!

We are a volunteer organization. All of our coaches and Board Members generously volunteer their time and effort to keep the Club running and growing.

We have two soccer seasons-Spring and Fall. Each season lasts 10 weeks. Practices are held in local parks and playgrounds. Our game fields are at Wallace Park in Belton, Missouri.

We offer 2 types of soccer through our club:  recreational and competitive. Recreational plays all 8 games in Belton, while the competitive teams play 4 home games in Belton and travel to other areas throughtout Kansas City for 4 away games.

In the Fall of 2009 we merged with the Belton Parks and Recreation Department. They have been vital in our continued growth. They offer recreational player registraton at their front desk during soccer season. They help maintain the soccer fields and provide a concession stand and bathrooms at the soccer fields.

Our Club hopes to be around another 20 years!
